5 THINGS WE REALLY LIKED ABOUT FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER

#5 FALCON’s SUIT UPGRADE

Sam Wilson’s high powered propulsion wingsuit has seen a lot of upgrades since he appeared on the scene in Captain America the Winter Soldier.

The original Air Force prototype, codename ‘EX0-7 Falcon’ was upgraded to the Avengers Suit, presumably by Tony Stark. This upgrade included his trusty mechanized wing man, Red Wing, and we first saw both in action in the events of captain America Civil war.

But the best upgrade to the suit yet is making it the Captain America Suit, by the Wakandan Design Group.

Like is there any costume Marvel cannot make look better?

#4 BARON HELMUT ZEMO

With Steve Rodgers and Tony Stark hell bent on out punching each other in the events of Captain America civil war, we dint really get to see much of the main vengeful antagonist Zemo.

In Falcon and the Winter soldier, we got to see more of Zemo as a well rounded character.

Though he is still pretty much Zemo, the miniseries took a different perspective with the character, and he lent a lot of voice to the idea of the powerful always having the tendency of overreaching. Directly comparing people with abilities to supremacists who will always inevitably abuse their power.

#3 THE NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA

We weren’t really surprised to see Sam Wilson give up Captain America’s shield at very beginning of the series, after hearing him declare that the shield ‘feels like someone else’s’ in the final scenes of Avengers End Game.

But it was a bit of a surprise when we saw John F. Walker who will go on to become the ‘US AGENT’ named the new Captain America.

His introduction however turned out to be pivotal in driving the main emotional conflict for both leads on the show, as we saw how important Steve Rodgers and his legacy as Captain America is to both Sam and Bucky.

#2 THE DORA MILAJE

The return of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s elite special forces ‘who have jurisdiction where ever the Dora Milaje find themselves to be,’ was both refreshing and entertaining.

Their appearance on the scene somehow made an already great show even better.

And the fact that John F. Walker declared that ‘they weren’t even super soldiers,’ and went on to use the stolen super solider serum after having his ass royally handed to him by the Dora, made their appearance on the scene more than just heartwarming but plot driving.

#1 A BLACK CAPTAIN AMERICA

We feel like Sam becoming captain America was both satisfying and big win for the black community, even if only on the big screen.

“I am a black man carrying the stars and stripes-. Every time I pick up this thing I know there are millions who are going to hate me for it!” His speech at the end of the Miniseries.

Yes, we got a black spider man, and now captain America is black too!
